Throughout the summer, many transfer rumours are reported in the media. In recent days, Al-Hilal’s Neymar has been linked with Barcelona, where he played for four seasons.
The Brazilian footballer denied this possibility and assured that he is “happy in Riyadh”. He did so in a statement issued by his inner circle, in which he made it clear that he intends to return to play for the Saudi side once he recovers from injury.
“The articles about Ney’s return to Barcelona from Al-Hilal are lies and a tremendous lack of respect for the team and the athlete. Neymar is under contract with Al-Hilal and is happy in Riyadh. He will soon be back in action to delight the fans,” the statement read.
‘Jijantes’ was the one who brought this information to light, suggesting that the Brazilian was offered to the Catalans and that it was coach Hansi Flick who would have refused to have the forward in the squad this season.
