Manchester City striker Erling Haaland sent a savage message to one Fantasy Premier League manager after scoring a hat-trick against Ipswich Town.
The 24-year-old scored his 10th Manchester City hat-trick on Saturday afternoon, as Pep Guardiola’s side came from behind to beat newly-promoted Ipswich Town 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland, who is just five further three-goal hauls away from Sergio Aguero’s Premier League record, sealed his seventh English top-flight hat-trick in the second-half, having helped complete a stunning turnaround with an initial quick-fire brace.
The Norway international equalised from the penalty spot, prior to smashing Manchester City into a rapid 3-1 first-half lead, having successfully ran in behind the Ipswich defence and rounded goalkeeper Arijanet Muric.
Haaland, who has won the Premier League Golden Boot award back-to-back, has already scored four goals for the Sky Blues this season, having opening his account during a 0-2 win at Stamford Bridge over Chelsea.
The striker is embarking on his third campaign at the Etihad Stadium, and is already within six goals of reaching the century mark, after scoring 94 goals in 101 previous appearances.
Haaland’s incredible goalscoring form has made the 24-year-old one of the most fruitful assets in the Fantasy Premier League game, with the forward demanding a record-breaking price tag of £15 million.
A massive 477,386 managers chose to triple-captain Haaland for Saturday’s gameweek two clash, and in reply to one player who didn’t, Haaland said: “Yeah, sad for him. And I don’t care!”
The Norwegian also sent a message to players on Instagram, captioning a post: “Did you triple captain me?”
Haaland and Manchester City will be back in action next Saturday evening against West Ham, with the striker having scored his first Premier League goal at the London Stadium on debut back in August 2022.
