Erling Haaland has proven to be an inspired signing for Manchester City since completing a move from Borussia Dortmund and it appears his goal-getting is inspired by an odd pre-match snack
Manchester City ’s Erling Haaland has been urged to moo-ve to an udder club after revealing an odd pre-game meal of RAW MILK.
The Norwegian forward is arguably the most clinical forward in world football since arriving in the Premier League. Haaland has scored 91 goals in just 100 games for Manchester City following a move from Borussia Dortmund.
Many have been trying to unlock the secret to his stunning form and it appears that a pre-match drink of raw milk is the key. Asked what his pre-match routine is by the BBC, he replied: “I don’t have any special rituals to be honest. I get a bit of treatment, relax, eat a little bit and nothing special. Snacks, I don’t… raw milk!”
The revelation has left fans scratching their heads. Taking to social media, one supporter wrote: “He’s clearly a different breed, ain’t like us,” while another said: “Prefer my milk cooked tbf.”
One fan was however full of praise for Haaland’s choice of beverage. They said: “Good man supporting British farmers!”
A final fan then suggested he had a great idea for the striker’s next club should he decide to leave the Etihad any time soon. They wrote: “@ArlaFoodsUK get the contract out, let him write whatever numbers he wants on it and sign him up.”
Haaland’s admission is just the latest insight into the striker’s pre-game routine. Speaking in January, he revealed that he preferred to focus on his virtual game on the PlayStation as opposed to reality.
He said: “I don’t have any special routines. I try not to think too much before a game. Normally the night before a game, I play on my PlayStation and try and relax as much as I can.

“I don’t do anything special. I like to score with myself on FC24, that’s about it. I don’t do anything special, I just try and relax and look forward to the game.”
Despite the slightly unconventional nature of Haaland’s pre-match routine, it certainly appears to be working. His stunning goalscoring form helped Man City to an historic treble in his debut campaign, while he added another Premier League title last term.
Haaland and his Man City teammates have already gotten off to the perfect start as they aim to win yet another domestic crown. Pep Guardiola ’s side beat Chelsea 2-0 in their Premier League opener – a game in which Haaland scored. City are next back in action this weekend against newly-promoted Ipswich.
