Is the long-awaited return of Ney just a month away?
Neymar is starting to feel good again. It has been almost a year (337 days) since the Al Hilal and Brazilian national team star last played an official match. However, according to the Saudi press, he could be back on the pitch very soon.
As reported by Arriyadiyah, the 32-year-old footballer has shown significant progress during his latest rehabilitation program at the club, prior to rejoining collective training.
The same source indicated that Neymar will miss the first three rounds of the Saudi Pro League against Al-Okhdood, Damac, and Riyadh, with his grand return expected to occur in the derby against Al Ittihad in Riyadh, scheduled for September 19.
Meanwhile, the former FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain player continues his recovery at the club’s facilities under the supervision of his compatriot Ricardo Rosa.
Neymar suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee during Brazil’s defeat against Uruguay on October 18, 2023, in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
His last match with Al Hilal came on October 3 against Iran’s Nassaji Mazandaran, during the second round of the Asian Champions League group stage. That night, he scored his team’s second goal in a 3-0 victory.
Now, we only have to wait and see his condition after such a long absence.
