The Sky Blues suffered defeats to Celtic in North Carolina and AC Milan in New York, as well a penalty shoot-out loss to FC Barcelona on Tuesday at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
Manchester City’s squad for the pre-season trip to the United States includes a handful of first-team stars and a cohort from the City Football Academy, with a number of first-team players absent following participation at either the European Championships or Copa America.
City, who will return to the US for the 32-team FIFA Club World Cup in 2025, drew 2-2 with Barcelona during their most recent friendly clash, courtesy of equalising goals from Nico O’Reilly and Jack Grealish.
Erling Haaland was unable to continue his pre-season goalscoring streak against the La Liga club, with the Norwegian striker withdrawn following the first-half due to injury concerns.
Haaland and Grealish had visited Universal Studios during the visit to Orlando this week, where the Manchester City pair went on a number of theme park attractions and met with characters from the movie Shrek.
The Manchester City duo have also reportedly visited another popular US destination during the tour, with Jack Gaughan revealing that Haaland and Grealish went to the The Shops at Columbus Circle for a dinner date while in New York.
The mall, which has 10 restaurants and is located next to Central Park, was a 30-second walk from the Manchester City team hotel.
Haaland and Grealish are former neighbours and have become close friends since the Norwegian’s arrival at the Etihad Stadium from Borussia Dortmund in July 2022.
