Kylian Mbappe has splashed the cash on a £9million mega mansion previously owned by Gareth Bale, and it has all the bells and whistles a top footballer could want
Kylian Mbappe has moved into a £9million mansion in Madrid, which used to belong to Galactico Gareth Bale.
The home in La Finca – 13km from the heart of Madrid – was acquired by 25-year-old Mbappe after he signed for Real Madrid, and is currently valued due to its size, stature and exclusive location. The property first went on the market in June 2022, when Bale departed Spain to go and live in the United States.
The luxurious mansion comprises eight bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, numerous terraces, a cinema room, a swimming pool and a six-car garage. But the allure doesn’t stop there, with several exciting activity bases within the grounds of the property.
Mbappe’s new home contains a football field, basketball court and even a golfing area where famous holes from international courses are replicated – no doubt a big hit with Bale when he occupied it due to his love of golf. It also has a number of strong security measures, including double perimeter gates, cameras, which use facial recognition technology, and an alarm system, which is connected to Spanish police.
Furthermore, it has a 24-hour security patrol to give Mbappe peace of mind. Speaking about the unbelievable estate, luxury property agency Realizza say: “It is a new way of life for all those who seek above all exclusivity, tranquillity, confidentiality and above all, security.
“This concept is the key to satisfying the needs of such distinguished clients as politicians, bullfighters, artists, football players, big businessmen and families of great social relevance who seek discretion and independence.”
Mbappe makes the move from an £7.2million mansion overlooking the Eiffel Tower which he occupied while playing for Paris Saint Germain, and while he could have afforded a stylish home in the heart of Madrid, he has opted for something a little more private north of the Spanish capital.

And Mbappe isn’t the only footballing great to have owned a home in the prestigious La Finca neighbourhood, with Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane all living in the area at one point or another. A satellite view of Mbappe’s new home shows a 3,000 m2 plot of land, while the home itself takes up an astounding 1,100 m2.
While Bale was initially asking for £11million for the beautiful abode, it was eventually sold to Mbappe for two million less. Meanwhile, the pacey goalscorer has also rented a nearby home in La Finca for his mother and agent, Fayza Lamari – albeit, a far more modest living space than his own.
Mbappe made the move to Real Madrid on a free this summer, after his six-year stint with PSG came to a close. The talisman managed to back 256 goals and 108 assists for the Ligue 1 champions after joining the ranks of the elite from Monaco for £160million at the age of 18 in 2018.
