The duo won the Champions League together with the Blaugrana in 2015, along with two LaLiga titles and three Copa del Reys.
Their incredible partnership continued in France, where they scooped back-to-back Ligue 1 titles before both departed Parc des Princes in 2023.
And in a game of rapid-fire questions to determine the world’s greatest player of the 21st century, there was only one man who topped Neymar’s list.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Neymar was asked for his opinion on some of the game’s best players.
The list included world class talents such as Kylian Mbappe, Thierry Henry, Arjen Robben, Luis Figo, Franck Ribery and Kevin De Bruyne.
After Mbappe lost out to Ronaldinho, Cristiano Ronaldo was then given the nod over the Brazilian trickster.
Messi was next up, with Neymar instantly selecting the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Then came the finale – Messi vs Neymar – with the Al Hilal forward not hesitating in naming the Argentina skipper as the greatest.

While Neymar may not consider himself to be the the world’s best, Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka believes he is the most underrated player in history.
Speaking to talkSPORT’s England correspondent Faye Carruthers from the Three Lions’ Euro 2024 camp in Germany, the winger lauded Kyle Walker as well as admitting he is using Anthony Joshua’s comments as motivation.
And he also waxed lyrical over Neymar when asked who is the most underrated player in existence.
He stated: “I’ve got to say Neymar.
“I think people talk about it, but I think he should be talked about more.
“I think he deserves more respect than he gets. Personally, that’s what I feel.”
