Kylian Mbappé will need to do follow a procedure before he joins Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappé’s journey in EURO 2024 with the French national team hasn’t been what he expected. Mbappé was really motivated to shine in the tournament after being announced as a new Real Madrid player for next season and having the goal of winning his first European Championship with France. His broken nose from the first match against Austria did not allow him to play the last game against the Netherlands, which ended in a 0-0 draw. Although Mbappé is set to play for France again in the EUROS without getting surgery for the broken nose, his injury will affect Real Madrid. Mbappé is set to go to Real Madrid facilities after the EUROS ends, but now there may be other plans for the French star to be fully ready for his debut season with the Spanish club. MARCA reports that Mbappé will undergo surgery on his nose after the Euros. It is unknown how long he could be out of action after the surgery, but it could be up to six weeks.
The EUROS will come to an end on July 14th in Germany, and Mbappé’s presentation to Real Madrid was reportedly scheduled for July 16th. With the surgery that he is reportedly going to undergo, he would likely miss the US pre-season tour for Real Madrid and potentially miss the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta on August 14th. Mbappé should be back and ready for the start of the La Liga season.
Mbappé will be wearing a mask to play for France again in the knockout stages of this EUROS. France is on four points in their group, along with the Netherlands. A point guarantees France a spot in the knockout stages.

Mbappé was not risked in the game against the Netherlands yesterday, but he is expected to play in the match against Poland in the next few days. If Mbappé does play, he will be wearing the black mask that the world saw him use during his training sessions. He is likely to play in the knockout stages of the EUROS as well.
