Kylian Mbappé joining Real Madrid next season has some positives and some negatives for many fans. The signing is a huge positive for Real Madrid because of Mbappé being one of the best players in the world, arriving at one of the best squads in the world. The negative many Real Madrid fans are worried about is the egos in the locker room and his adapting with the players in the team. Some think that Mbappé will be selfish since he recently mentioned that one of his goals was to win a Ballon d’Or in the future. Mbappé’s arrival at Real Madrid will get him closer to the prestigious award, but since it’s a goal of his, some fans think he will not play for the team and work with Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham. Mbappé expressed a different side of his mentality, saying, “In the beginning, I was focusing on myself and my performance. Now, with me assuming the role of leader, I must think about my teammates before I think about myself and my performance.” Mbappé is the captain of the French national team for EURO 2024.
Mbappé expressed how he felt becoming the captain of the national team for a big tournament. He said, “Being the captain of your country is an amazing thing. I will be proud to wear the captain’s armband. I am responsible for the players. I must try to make sure that everything goes well with the players, in international competitions.”
Mbappé shocked fans when he revealed that Neymar was one of the leaders he had in the past during his time at PSG. Mbappé said, “I played with Ramos, Buffon, Messi and Neymar, leaders in the Paris team. In the national team we had leaders like Pogba and Lloris, and today I am ready to take on this leadership role.”
Kylian Mbappé on not playing in the Summer Olympics this summer
Real Madrid did not want any of their players to play in the Summer Olympics in Paris this summer, including Kylian Mbappé. The French star wanted to represent his nation in the games, but the Spanish club did not allow him to. Mbappé said, “The Olympics? I will not participate. I understand the decision of my club. It wouldn’t be the best start to participate in all tournaments without resting.”
