A Real Madrid legend will be with Kylian Mbappé during his presentation.
Real Madrid fans are excited to see Kylian Mbappé wear the white jersey for the first time in his career as he will be their player next season. The French star will have a big presentation ceremony at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer but after the EUROS since Mbappé is currently with the French national team in Germany. The event is set to be very special for Real Madrid and Mbappé as the stadium is expected to be full of excited Madrid fans in the Santiago Bernabeu. It will be even more special as a club legend will be present and will accompany Mbappé in the presentation. El Debate reports that Zinedine Zidane will Kylian Mbappé him on stage for the French star’s official Real Madrid presentation. The presentation is set to be on July 16th, just two days after the EURO 2024 Final in Germany. Zidane happens to have a good relationship with his countrymen, and the presentation will be special since the Spanish club has been chasing Mbappé for many years.
Having a legend accompany a superstar in a big presentation has been done in the past. Mbappé is doing something similar to his idol Cristiano Ronaldo, as the Portuguese presentation for Real Madrid included Alfredo Di Stefano and Eusébio. Ronaldo’s move to Real Madrid in 2009 was also a huge signing for the Spanish club, and CR7 would then become arguably the greatest player in the club’s history.
Ronaldo was presented at Real Madrid with the number 9 shirt, which is what Mbappé will likely do as well. The number 7 is occupied by Vinicius Jr., and the number 10, which is used with the French national team, is used by Luka Modric. Modric is likely to stay next season, which means that Mbappé will likely use the number 9 next season in his first season with Real Madrid, like Ronaldo.
