Vincent Kompany was named Bayern Munich new manager on Wednesday, capping a rapid rise in the Belgian’s embryonic coaching career despite mixed results. The 38-year-old was quick to give several interviews after his appointment.
The Belgian coach spoke to ‘ESPN’ in an interview to talk about his future as coach of the German giants but also discussed other hot topics in the world of football.
Kompany was asked who he thinks will win the next Ballon d’Or awards, being expected to name one of his current players. “I can’t say Mbappe? Because you do know they are going to win it for a long time. It’s going to be him and Haaland for the next 15 years at least,” he said.
Nonetheless, he also mentioned Barcelona star Gavi and Juran Duranville, who has only played three games for Borussia Dortmund since joining last January, which has surprised fans of his current club even more.
