Erling Haaland may be a goalscoring machine, but Martin Odegaard is currently Norway’s best player ahead of the Manchester City star.
That’s according to Chelsea legend Eden Hazard, who also revealed who he believes takes top spot from England’s crop of talent.

Although Norway failed to qualify for Euro 2024 this summer, they still boast heaps of quality with Haaland and Odegaard in their ranks.
The former scored 38 goals this season and won the Premier League, and the latter amassed 22 goal contributions for Arsenal.
Many would say Haaland is top of the pile, but when speaking to talkSPORT, Hazard opted for the Gunners’ midfield maestro instead – due to one reason alone.
When he was asked to name Norway’s current best player, he said: “Odegaard. I know you want me to say Haaland, but I say Odegaard.”
Hazard then explained that he played with the midfielder, with the duo featuring for Real Madrid together on two occasions.
The former Chelsea winger was also asked the same question but for England and with little hesitation, he stated: “Phil Foden.”
Harry Kane is likely to have been another standout choice, but Foden once again played a key role in City’s recent title succes.
The 23-year-old scored 19 goals and assisted a further eight, with the winger also named as the Premier League Player of the Season.

Hazard also revealed his choices for other nations, with Jamal Musiala top for Germany and Kylian Mbappe the best from France.
For Italy it was Marco Verratti, his former international teammate Kevin de Bruyne is Belgium’s main man and Virgil van Dijk is first from the Netherlands.
After long deliberation, Hazard named ex-Chelsea teammate Cesar Azpilicueta for Spain and Cristiano Ronaldo was his choice for Portugal.
The Blues icon is set for an emotional return to Stamford Bridge on June 9 for Soccer Aid, with talkSPORT providing you with all the build-up and regular updates from the charity match.
