Duncan, a boxer dog, was found wandering the streets with only two front legs.
Duncan had had malformations since his birth, so the dog’s hind legs were fused. Maybe that’s why they abandoned Duncan. However, he is quite strong, adaptable and moves very well with only two legs.
Duncan was quickly taken in by a family after being brought to the rescue station. However, fate had other plans as Gary and Amanda, the owners of the rescue camp, developed a deep bond with this brave dog. When the adoptive family saw how happy Duncan was playing with Gary and Amanda, they decided to give up ownership of him.
Duncan is friendly with other dogs.
Gary and Amanda discovered a health problem in Duncan’s uncle after moving into a huge house with a garden where Duncan could run and jump. Duncan’s two hind legs have impacted the spine, causing pain, so the only option is to amputate both disabled legs. Duncan’s desire to run and jump was not affected by the fact that doing so would make it more difficult for him to maintain his balance.
Duncan is truly a magical dog.
Duncan’s favorite food: peanut butter.
Duncan loves to run and jump like any other dog. He refuses to use a wheelchair and has always preferred to do things alone, including climbing stairs.
You’re probably looking at a deformed dog, but I’m looking at a real hero.
Duncan was missing when this video went viral with over 7 million views. Gary and Amanda’s car crashed while they were trying to avoid an animal crossing the road. Gary and Amanda, as well as two other pups in the car, were able to escape with minor injuries, but Duncan was nowhere to be found.
When the car overturned, it could have been thrown into the street. Gary is very worried about the little dog. “I’m afraid he has been seriously injured or even… killed.”
Photos of Duncan were shared everywhere to find the dog.
When passersby discovered Duncan wandering, luck shone again for Gary’s family. Duncan, according to Amanda, has died and come back to life several times. Gary must aggressively resuscitate and perform CPR to save Duncan’s life after he has suffered two cardiac arrests.
