A dog found roaming a property in Clinton, South Carolina, was just a matted ball of fur. Animal control alerted Betty Burns and fellow volunteers at Heart of LCAC, and they set out for rescue…
But seeing the dog up close was something they weren’t prepared for. And the only way they could tell one end from the other was by hearing him pant. They got to work cutting off 15 extra pounds of fur in order to free him from this prison.
The hair filled up two garbage bags, and the 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix underneath was slowly revealed!
Pat the Mat was finally free and as happy as could be! 🙂
Pat went right back to being a dog once again by running around and playing with toys.
Pat is living it up in this second chance at life, and he deserves nothing but the best! 🙂
