Kylian Mbappé could be playing his last home game with PSG this weekend.
As Kylian Mbappé’s move to Real Madrid seems even closer than ever, PSG is preparing to say goodbye to their star player and could have something special for him this weekend. According to Le Parisien, PSG could prepare a farewell ceremony for Kylian Mbappé on Sunday against Toulouse in Ligue 1 at the Parc des Princes. It will be PSG’s last game at the Parc des Princes this season since they have two away league games and the Coupe De France final against Lyon at the Decathlon Arena-Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
L’Équipe reported that Mbappé’s farewell at the Parc des Princes on Sunday has not yet been decided. In February, PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi had internally requested to prepare a tribute, but he still hasn’t formalized his departure since then. According to L’Équipe, there are conversations planned in the coming hours to come up with a plan. Mbappé’s last game at the Parc des Princes was this week in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal against Borussia Dortmund, where they lost 1-0 and lost 2-0 on aggregate. PSG have been eliminated from the tournament once again.
Mbappé has played a total of 306 games with PSG in all competitions. The French star has scored a total of 255 goals and has assisted 108 times with PSG. Mbappé and PSG have dominated the domestic level in France as he has lifted six Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups, two French League Cups, and three French Super Cups. This season, Mbappé has played a total of 46 games in all competitions for PSG, where he scored 43 goals and provided ten assists.
Kylian Mbappé’s odds to win the Ballon d’Or
After PSG’s elimination from the Champions League, Mbappé’s chances to win the Ballon d’Or this year have become slimmer. Relevo reports that the current Ballon d’Or favorite is Vinicius Jr. as the main candidate; Jude Bellingham is the second favorite and Mbappé is third. Mbappé hopes to have an amazing 2024 Euros with France to have a bigger chance at the prestigious individual award. According to Mundo Deportivo, Mbappé believes that he would be widely considered the best player in the world if he moves to Real Madrid.
