With each passing day, Kylian Mbappe is getting closer to leaving PSG and signing for Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old French superstar’s contract with the Parisian giants expires at the end of the season and has informed the club about his decision to leave more than a month ago.
Negotiations have been underway with Real Madrid for a while now and things are progressing in a very positive manner, reports Fabrizio Romano.
Agreement on salary already reached
As confirmed by Romano, Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe have already reached an agreement over his salary when he joins the club.
There had been a lot of speculation about how much the French forward would earn and whether his arrival would create a distortion in the salary scale at the Spanish capital club.
However, Romano states that Mbappe’s salary will be on a similar scale to what current Real Madrid superstars Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham earn.

But, as has already been reported before, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will receive a mammoth signing bonus in excess of €100 million, which Real Madrid will pay him in multiple instalments.
Image rights discussion ongoing
Romano insists that negotiations between the two parties are in the final phase, with the last details being worked upon.
One area that is being discussed is the issue of image rights. Over the years, Real Madrid have always shared 50% of their players’ image rights with Cristiano Ronaldo being the only exception in recent years.
But Mbappe is reluctant to go 50-50 on that front, with recent reports suggesting that Los Blancos could be willing to let him keep 90% of the image rights.
All in all, Mbappe is not negotiating with any other club apart from Real Madrid and talks are progressing in a very positive manner with a total agreement not far away.
