UEFA released the clubs with the highest revenue from shirt sales last year.
FC Barcelona are in an economic crisis and are struggling to make any moves due to this situation. Real Madrid on the other hand are doing really well and will soon sign Kylian Mbappé and more players this summer. While both clubs are in a completely different status economically, FC Barcelona can brag to make more revenue than them when it comes to shirt sales. UEFA released the top 20 European clubs that generated the most revenue from shirt sales last year.
UEFA’s top ten clubs who generated the most revenue form shirt sales last year includes five Premier League clubs, two La Liga clubs, one Bundesliga club, one Serie A club, and one Ligue 1 club. In 10th is Tottenham, whom Nike sponsors. The revenue they generated last year was around $80 million. Above them is Juventus with Adidas. The Italian side also generated around $80 million last year.
In 8th position is Chelsea, who has a deal with Nike. They generated around $94 million. Arsenal is above them in 7th position, and they generated around $96 million with Adidas. In the 6th positon, PSG ranks there who has a deal with Nike; together they generated around $105 million.
Manchester United, with Adidas, ranked 5th on the UEFA list as they generated around $141 million. Liverpool earned the highest revenue from shirt sales in the Premier League last year with Nike as they generated $143 million.
FC Barcelona generated the most out of any team, with nearly $200 million in revenue
Bayern Munich ranks third on the list, as they and Adidas generated $159 million last year. Real Madrid is second on the list and is also sponsored by Adidas. Los Blancos and Adidas generated $168 million.
FC Barcelona is the club with the highest revenue from shirt sales in 2023. FC Barcelona and Nike generated around $194 million from shirt sales.
