Former Real Madrid defender Ivan Helguera affirmed that Kylian Mbappe would be a better fit for Los Blancos than Erling Haaland.
Both of these players have been linked with Real Madrid in the past. Speaking to AS, Helguera was asked whether Mbappe or Haaland would be a more ideal signing for Real Madrid.
He replied: “Both are very good, but I think Mbappe is more suitable for Madrid. He can play on the wing, as a central striker and even as a midfielder if you want. Not Haaland. He’s a center striker, that’s all.”
Marca report that a deal has been done between Mbappe and the Madrid giants, although any public announcement is likely to be postponed as Los Blancos could still face Paris Saint-Germain in this season’s Champions League.
