Sharing with the BBC, Sir Jim Ratcliffe affirmed that he will run Man Utd with all his heart.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe says his investment in Manchester United will bring sporting success to the club he supported as a boy and it is not for any personal financial gain .
Sir Jim told the BBC: “It is run by the heart. This is not a financial investment for me. If I wanted to make a financial investment, I would buy another chemical company.”
“This is one of the biggest challenges in the world. It’s a very worthy challenge and very exciting. The only reason I’m taking part is because I want to see Manchester United restore its status. I maybe biased, but I believe this is the biggest and most famous club in the world. They should play the greatest football in the world,” the British billionaire added.
After buying 25% of Man Utd shares, Sir Jim made a series of changes at the club. In the near future, they will upgrade Old Trafford, helping this stadium have a capacity of more than 90,000 seats.
