The Brazilian forward is in Saudi Arabia, recovering from surgery on his knee.
This week Neymar Junior landed with his private plane in Saudi Arabia to continue the recovery process of his knee surgery under the supervision of Al-Hilal’s medical specialists. He has not played soccer matches since October, when he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his right knee while playing for Brazil against Uruguay in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Although almost four months have passed since that happened, the prognosis for Ney’s recovery is not optimistic. His club does not believe that he will recover before the end of this season and therefore decided to remove him from the list of players registered in the Pro League, in order to include Renan Lodi in his place. In addition, it is almost certain that he will miss the Copa America 2024 with Brazil.
On top of all this, there is speculation about the player’s physical condition. A few days ago, images of him at the birthday party of Brazilian legend Romario became known and on social media many users gave their opinion about his appearance, considering that he was overweight. That happened again this week, when Al-Hilal shared a video about Ney’s arrival in Saudi Arabia.
While all this is going on, a person who in the past was very close to the forward was also in the news, but for opposite reasons. His ex-girlfriend Bruna Marquezine shared some images on her official Instagram account where she is seen posing in an amazing black dress and received many positive reactions: more than 1.4 million users liked it, while others wrote comments complimenting her for her looks, such as “Too hot to handle”, “She really is beautiful, she has a perfect body” and “Hottie, diva, inspiration!!!”
He has played little lately
Over the past few seasons Neymar Junior has spent more time with doctors than with his teammates. In his last year with Paris Saint-Germain he missed crucial Champions League and Ligue 1 games because of an ankle problem. And at Al-Hilal he was only present in 5 matches (3 in Pro League and 2 in Asian Champions League) before suffering the serious knee injury.
