The information that Kylian Mbappe left PSG for free was confirmed by The Athletic and transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano. Journalist Romano even confirmed that 100% of the relationship between Mbappe and PSG will end after this season.
The terms between the two sides have not yet been agreed upon, but Mbappe certainly will not extend the contract. PSG also accepted the French striker’s proposal. After letting Mbappe leave, the French champions will save about 200 million euros per year. This money will be used by the French capital football team to invest for long-term goals.
Mbappe becomes the next star, after Neymar, Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, and Marco Verratti to bid farewell to Parc des Princes. Napoli star Victor Osimhen is being targeted by PSG to replace the void left by Mbappe.
It is likely that Mbappe will join Real Madrid. However, this deal cannot be promoted because the offer “Los Blancos” made is not strong enough. Mbappe is asking for 125 million euros in bribes, a salary of up to 43 million euros and more than 60% of image royalties during his time playing at the Bernabeu. These are all demands that Real Madrid has not been able to meet.
Currently, the Royal team’s highest-earning players, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. only receive 12.5 million euros per season.
In addition to Mbappe, Real is said to have reached a personal agreement with Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies. The remaining work of “Los Blancos” is only to agree on the transfer price with the home team Allianz Arena. Like Mbappe, Davies wants to leave Germany to find a challenge at a new club.
Mbappe was bought by PSG from Monaco for 180 million euros. In just 7 seasons, the striker born in 1998 became the greatest scorer in the history of “Le Parisien” with 243 goals in 290 matches.
The star nicknamed “Ninja Turtle” owns a huge trophy collection but is only limited to French territory (5 Ligue 1, 3 National Cups,…). At the continental level, Mbappe only helped PSG win the 2020 Champions League runner-up.
