According to Inter Live, Manchester United expects to be able to sign Benjamin Pavard and will use Victor Lindelof as part of the deal.
Benjamin Pavard was the target of Man Utd’s pursuit last summer. However, they could not afford to get his signature due to pressure from the Financial Fair Play Law. The board of directors hopes to sell Harry Maguire to recoup the money, but the English player’s decision to stay means they accept seeing Pavard go to Inter Milan.
Inter Live reported that Man Utd still has Pavard in their sights. The Red Devils can offer a player + cash in exchange in this deal.
Pavard is currently valued at about 40 million euros and Man Utd is ready to bring Lindelof, Inter’s target in the past, to the negotiating table to reduce the deal price.
However, Inter Live is not optimistic about Lindelof coming to Inter. It is likely that he will accept one of the offers from Saudi Arabia next summer.
Pavard can comfortably play as a right-back and center-back. With the futures of Raphael Varane and Aaron Wan-Bissaka uncertain after this season, Pavard would be the ideal replacement for two key positions at Old Trafford.
