Brazil led 1-0 going into the closing stages via Gabriel Magalhaes’ effort, but were pegged back by Eduard Bello’s late leveller.
Following the 1-1 draw in Cuiaba, Neymar and his team-mates trudged off the pitch having fallen behind Argentina in the World Cup qualifying table.
As he was about to enter the tunnel, however, Neymar was struck on the head by a box of popcorn, thrown by an irate fan.
The Al-Hilal ace immediately looked up into the stands to try and identify the culprit, subsequently hurling angry words as he pointed to an individual.
He was then dragged away by his team-mates, but his frustrations didn’t end there.
According to local reporter Jose Carlos Araujo, Neymar came across Brazilian Football Federation president Ednaldo Rodrigues in the tunnel.
It’s claimed that the former Paris Saint-Germain star demanded that national team games never be played in Cuiaba again.
He then reportedly threatened not to travel to his side’s next match.
Brazil are set to face Uruguay in Montevideo tonight.
Despite his reported threat, Neymar has in fact travelled to Uruguay with his team-mates.
He could be seen smiling and laughing as he trained alongside national team pals at Centenario Stadium last night.
Neymar overtook Pele as Brazil’s all-time leading goalscorer last month after netting twice in a 5-1 win over Bolivia.
He has scored 79 goals in 127 caps, having began his international career as a teenager in 2010.
