La Liga president Javier Tebas once again stated that Real Madrid is capable of signing PSG striker Kylian Mbappe in the 2024/25 season.
Kylian Mbappe’s future promises to become a hot topic in the 2024 summer transfer window. The current contract between the French star and PSG will expire in June this year. Whether Mbappe will leave or stay at PSG has become a question receiving a lot of attention at this time.
In the event of parting ways with the Ligue 1 defending champion, Real Madrid becomes the ideal landing spot for Mbappe. Los Blancos used to be very close to Mbappe, but the 25-year-old star decided to “turn around” when signing a contract extension with PSG in the summer of 2022.
La Liga President Javier Tebas revealed Mbappe’s new stop in an interview with the media as follows: “I think there is a very high possibility that Mbappe will join Real Madrid. This is a personal opinion. The deal will depends on Real Madrid, on the club president, what he is willing to bet on this contract.”
Jude Bellingham’s appearance helps Real Madrid have another classy star, Vinicius is another outstanding star. If Mbappe wants to go to Real Madrid, the chance of success will be more than 50%.”
According to a report from French source Telefoot, PSG is researching options to replace Mbappe. Attacking star Rafael Leao of AC Milan is on their shortlist.
The Portuguese international extended his contract at San Siro last summer and will stay at the club until 2028, with a release clause of 175 million euros.
If Mpappe leaves, it would free up significant wages for Leao, but PSG is unlikely to meet the Portuguese’s release clause.
