PSG is ready to stay strong and move forward with their plans, regardless of the Mbappe rumors. The future looks promising!

The future of Kylian Mbappe has been a topic of much debate in recent weeks as he is in the final six months of his contract at PSG and is being heavily linked with Real Madrid.

Los Blancos have been gunning for the 25-year-old Frenchman’s signing for years now and might finally end up getting their man this time out after having come ever so close in 2022.

Indeed, reports suggest that Mbappe has already made his decision to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain runs out.

The Ligue 1 champions are understood to be aware of this development even though they have been working hard to try and convince him to renew his contract.

And now, according to Telefoot in France (h/t Mundo Deportivo), it seems like PSG are already preparing for life after Mbappe and have identified a replacement for the forward, who could be Real Madrid-bound.

Indeed, the report claims that Les Parisiens have identified AC Milan and Portugal forward Rafael Leao as the man to take over from Mbappe if he leaves the club for Real Madrid in the summer.

Luis Campos, PSG’s sporting director, knows Leao very well because he worked with him at Lille and he is the one who is betting the most on the signing of the Portuguese attacker.

Leao has a contract with AC Milan until 2028 and if PSG want to sign him, they will have to pay a good amount to the Italian team, who were seeking around €150 million for him even before his renewal.

Signing him, if Mbappe stays and signs a new contract, will be financially impossible even for PSG. And the fact that Campos is pushing for the Portuguese ace indicates that the French superstar could be on his way out.
