Erling Haaland’s latest Jadon Sancho social media post pokes fun at Manchester United

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has taken to social media to express his support for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho, who is locked in a dispute with Erik ten Hag.

Sancho, 23, has been left out of the Manchester United starting lineup this season after being dropped by Ten Hag.

The England international hasn’t played since September because he refused to apologize to the Dutch manager for his training efforts.

After Ten Hag openly called out Sancho in a news conference, the player responded by alleging he had been made a ‘scapegoat’ by the United coach – dubbing his words ‘absolutely wrong’

Sancho has since refused to apologize to Ten Hag, either publicly or privately, and remains prohibited from first-team action.

He is now expected to leave the club, with United reportedly in talks with his previous club, Borussia Dortmund, about loaning him back.

Haaland was Sancho’s Dortmund teammate and has now resorted to social media to voice his support for the winger.

On Instagram, he captioned a shot of the pair standing with the German Cup, “Some baller that.”

Last month, Ten Hag said that Sancho could return to Old Trafford.

“It is about culture, and every player has to meet certain standards, and it was about that,” Ten Hag said during a pre-match press conference.

“Whatever happens there, he knows what he must do if he wishes to return, and it is entirely up to him.” He understands what he must do; the rest is up to him.

“We’ll see what happens.” We’ll have to wait and see what happens because it’s an internal concern.”

According to ESPN, United and Dortmund are currently discussing a possible loan move for Sancho.

The Bundesliga club wants to keep Sancho until the end of the season, but United must continue to pay the majority of his wages, which are estimated to be in excess of £300,000 per week.
