A reputable source from The Times confirmed that striker Erling Haaland is about to return to play.
The Norwegian international has missed Man City’s last 9 matches due to a foot injury. Coach Pep Guardiola repeatedly affirmed that Erling Haaland is not in the best condition to be able to play.
According to Guardiola, Haaland had a bit of difficulty recovering from his leg injury. Therefore, the Norwegian player has not yet played. For the first time in his career, Haaland missed 9 consecutive matches at the club level.
The former Dortmund star himself admitted: “I hope to return soon after injury, I’m tired of not playing!”.
Most recently, The Times revealed that Haaland completed a full training session on the last day of Man City’s training trip to Abu Dhabi and did not feel any pain.
The FA Cup fourth round tie against Tottenham may come too soon for the top scorer. Instead, the Premier League match against Burnley at the end of the month, or Man City’s next match against Brentford on February 5, is more feasible.
Haaland’s return along with Kevin De Bruyne’s full recovery helps Man City’s strength become more formidable.
