Despite investing a large amount of money in the pair of wingers Jadon Sancho and Antony, Man Utd is facing the possibility of failure and is currently looking to transfer them to Saudi Arabia to minimize financial losses.
According to information from British media, Man Utd has lost patience with Sancho and Antony. They believe that the duo cannot regain their form at Old Trafford, so the Red Devils are trying to push them to the Middle East to relieve financial pressure and reinvest in other projects.
Man Utd paid a total of 155 million pounds for both players, including 73 million pounds for Sancho and 82 million pounds for Antony.
However, Man Utd is expected to only need to earn about 50 million pounds per person in the next summer transfer period. Currently, they have opened negotiations with teams in Saudi Arabia to bring both of these stars here.
Last summer, Saudi Pro League teams succeeded in recruiting many stars from the Premier League such as Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, N’Golo Kante, Jordan Henderson, Firmino and Fabinho. They are expected to continue this campaign next summer with attractive salaries.
Man Utd held a meeting with officials from the Saudi Pro League and the Saudi Ministry of Sports at the Club World Cup last December to build relationships and increase the possibility of selling players in the upcoming summer.
In addition to Antony and Sancho, Casemiro is a player that Saudi Pro League teams are particularly interested in at Man Utd. The Red Devils are also considering the possibility of selling the 31-year-old midfielder because he has not contributed much during the season and is having injury problems.
Veteran midfielder Raphael Varane could also be an option to move to the Middle East, but because his contract will expire in June, Man Utd will not earn a transfer fee from selling the player.
