As Pep Guardiola’s side takes their much-needed winter break having won the Club World Cup in December, the legendary Norwegian striker posed in the sun as he still recovers from his injury.
When receiving the award for the Best Men’s Player at the Globe Soccer Awards, he said: “I hope [to be back] really soon, because I’m getting a bit sick of not playing.”
The 23-year-old hit an amazing 52 goals in 53 games in his debut campaign with City after joining from Borussia Dortmund. He had continued his goalscoring feats this term with 14 in 15 Premier League appearances before his untimely injury set him back since late November.
As was revealed earlier by Guardiola, Haaland had been close to a return before a relapse set his recovery back at least another few weeks. Man City will restart their campaign when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup on Friday, January 26.
