According to Fabrizio Romano, the French star will soon make a decision on whether to leave or stay.
Raphael Varane’s future has become a topic of much interest. The French star currently only has a contract with Man Utd until 2025 and in the context of no longer being used by coach Erik ten Hag, he is also starting to consider the possibility of leaving.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Man Utd will not activate the automatic renewal clause for Varane because they do not want to maintain the current salary for the World Cup runner-up. As for Varane, he will have negotiations with the new superiors before making a decision on whether to leave or stay.
“With the same salary, this would not happen. Let’s see what Varane decides to do.
I also think that the negotiations between Varane and the new people in charge of Manchester United – as soon as they have a new sporting director – will be very important. He will want to see what projects they come up with for him personally as well as the club. Varane will then make a decision together with the club.”
