According to Fichajes, the Red Devils are considering recruiting the Blues star in January.
Manchester United’s defense is no longer as solid as it was last season, which is why Erik ten Hag wants to add more personnel in this area right in the January transfer window.
There have been quite a few names that the Red Devils are keeping an eye on, such as Jean Clair-Todibo or Goncalo Inacio. However, besides that, they also paid special attention to the star on Chelsea’s payroll – Trevoh Chalobah.
The England international once showed impressive performances under Thomas Tuchel, but no longer has a place in the Blues’ current squad. The London team currently wants to sell Chalobah to balance the budget.
That’s why Man Utd plans to approach the 24-year-old star this January. Chalobah can not only play center back but when needed is also ready to play right back, this will provide a versatile solution for the Red Devils’ defense.
However, they will have to compete with West Ham United or Bayern Munich to get the English midfielder. If this deal is successful, Chalobah will be the second Chelsea name to join Man Utd this season after Mason Mount.
