PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe was joined by Korbin Albert and USWNT prospects Gisele and Alyssa Thompson at NBA Paris Thursday evening.
Thursday evening saw the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Brooklyn Nets in an edition of NBA Paris, with the former coming out on top 111-102. The contest kicked off a brilliant year of international sporting events in the city, with this summer’s Olympic Games also on the itinerary in the month’s to come. Superstars from all over the world were spotted at the event, with the three USWNT starlets among the bunch.
The Thompson sisters were just two of many superstar female athletes to be spotted at the game, including the likes of Leah Williamson and Grace Geyoro.
Gisele – the younger sister of Alyssa – recently signed a first-team contract with Angel City in the NWSL, while Albert is on the rise as one of the most promising midfielders the USWNT has seen in years. The 21-year-old plays for PSG and has become a regular alongside established stars Grace Geyoro, Sakina Karchaoi and Marie-Antoinette Katoto in the XI. The ex-Notre Dame player was recently capped by the USWNT and even scored her first goal for the Parisian side. Now, she’s looking ahead to earn a spot on the roster for the Paris games this summer.
The Angel City duo will begin preseason preparations in the coming weeks, with the NWSL season set to kickoff in March of this year. Albert, meanwhile, will return to the pitch on Wednesday to take on Reims in league action.
