Inspired by KM is an association that aims to help 98 children fulfill their life projects. It is a project led by Kylian Mbappe that revolves around four fundamental values: learning, understanding, sharing and transmitting.
IBKM, which will be presented on January 20, brings together 49 boys and 49 girls, aged 9 to 16, from all walks of life.
Fayza Lamari, Mbappe’s mother, has revealed how she started ‘Inspired by KM’, an association to which a good portion of the PSG player’s earnings will go. “I told him: ‘I don’t do anything under 30%! I’ll retire and do what everyone else does: I’ll go on vacation in the Maldives, but I won’t work for you!'” Fayza said , according to a report from Le Parisien, in an excerpt made public from the program ‘Envoye Special’, which will be broadcast on France 2 next Thursday, January 18.
Kylian’s mother told more details of the particular negotiation she had with her son.
“At first, I told him it would be 50/50, but we talked it over and it was 30,” she jokes.
It’s all for a good cause. IBKM offers diverse and varied activities for the children: language courses, cultural and sports outings, master classes, stays…. And all, of course, are supervised by professionals.
A normal child
Another excerpt from the report with ‘Envoye Special’ that came out a few days ago shows a more relatable Mbappe, a young man who has achieved fame and sometimes would just like to be a normal guy.
Kylian admitted that it had been years since he had gone to the bakery to buy a loaf of bread. “I would pay a hell of a lot now to be able to do these kinds of things that don’t seem like anything to most people,” the PSG player assured and continued, “I lost the spontaneity of being human.”
The future
Beyond Kylian’s habits, what everyone is talking about is his future.
He renews his contract on June 30 with PSG and will have to decide whether to leave or leave for another club.
“I haven’t made my decision yet. I have not chosen. With the agreement I made with the president this summer, whatever my decision, we managed to protect all parties, preserve the serenity of the club for the challenges ahead which is the important thing. The rest is secondary,” said Kylian a few days ago.
