Erling Haaland is a happy man.
The Manchester City striker can’t hide his delight after his teammate Kevin de Bruyne made a triumphant return to the side in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.
The Norwegian star was seen jumping for joy on the bench after de Bruyne delivered an assist in the 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town.
The Belgian midfielder made an immediate impact after coming on as a substitute in the second half.
He reminded everybody of his incredible ability when he assisted Jeremy Doku’s goal in the 74th minute.
The 32-year-old eventually played 33 minutes in his first game back since injuring his hamstring on the first day of the 2023-24 season.
He played a gorgeous one-two with Oscar Bobb before delivering a delightful chip pass to the back post for Doku to fire into the net, per the BBC.
They are currently in third place in the Premier League, trailing leaders Liverpool by five points but with a game in hand.
They are also through to the round of 16 of the Champions League after sweeping all six of their matches in the group stage. City were handed a lucky draw in the knockout stage as they will next face Copenhagen.
The good news for City is that they have no players leaving for the Africa Cup of Nations and the AFC Asian Cup.
