Erling Haaland knows exactly what Manchester United might have missed out on.
The Manchester City superstar reposted a picture with his former teammate Jadon Sancho, who talkSPORT understands could be returning to Borussia Dortmund.
The clubs are currently in talks over a loan deal for the remainder of the season, with the England international frozen out by Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
The pairs’ relationship fell off a cliff in September 2023 when Sancho refused to apologise for a social media post disagreeing with the manager’s comments about his performances in training.
The 23-year-old hasn’t been seen in a United shirt since, and now Dortmund look best placed to capitalize on his broken relationship with the club.
Sancho left Germany for Manchester in 2021 in a £73 million deal, and he came with an extraordinary reputation.
The winger registered a whopping 50 goals and 58 assists in 137 games for BVB, with the majority coming as a teenager.
That garnered him a reputation as one of the best young talents in world football, something Haaland is well aware of.
The pair played together in black and yellow from 2020 to 2021, winning the DFB Pokal.
