WHAT HAPPENED?
Neymar is currently sidelined after undergoing surgery on an ACL injury that is expected to keep him out of action until after the Copa America. The Brazilian has offered some updates on his rehabilitation, showing off some painful sessions on social media. However, he’s been all smiles in his latest post as he revealed how he’s caught up with an old friend.
WHAT NEYMAR SAID:
Neymar shared a picture of the two Brazilians together on Instagram with the caption: “We used to bet on who could nutmeg the most players during games. Good to see you brother.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Neymar also offered a fresh image of his knee as he continues his recovery. The forward has already been ruled out of the 2024 Copa America by Brazil’s team doctor who has advised Neymar not to “skip steps” when it comes to his rehabilitation. Marcelo, meanwhile, has been rolling back the years at Fluminense and added the Copa Libertadores to his impressive trophy collection back in November.
WHAT NEXT FOR NEYMAR
Fans are likely to have to wait until August 2024 to see Neymar back in action again for Al-Hilal. The forward has only managed five appearances for his new club so far due to injury.
