Kylian Mbappe, the 25-year-old French striker for French champions PSG, has spoken about his influence at the Parisian club.
“People think I have power. Sometimes they even overestimate it because they think I do everything at the club, putting the team together, telling others what to do. I like to be committed and involved, but I’m just a player.
I’m also a citizen with a position and values that I want to protect. I declare it, but I don’t consider myself something more than I am,” Goal.com quoted Mbappe as saying.
In the current season, Mbappe took part in 22 matches, scored 21 goals and made 2 assists in the team of Luis Enrique.
Transfermarkt estimates Mbappe’s transfer value at 180 million euros, and he is the most expensive player in the world along with 23-year-old Norwegian Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (180 million euros).
Of course, Mbappe will arrive as the highest paid player in the squad giving his status as the best player in the world, but in the financial department there are well-defined red lines in this regard.
No excesses will be made and they will not compete with the astronomical figures that PSG are paying him and with which they could tempt him again.
