The English team receives a sanction after Haaland’s discussion with the referees

Manchester City is coming off one of the best seasons in its history, if not the best. However, this season has been complicated after the departure of some elements, as well as injuries to important players like De Bruyne. Now, after the club’s trip to Saudi Arabia, it is revealed that the FA is sending a sanction for the behavior of some of its players with a referee in England.
Manchester City has been fined 120,000 pounds (139,000 euros) by the English Football Federation (FA) after its players surrounded the referee in the final moments of the dramatic draw (3-3) against Tottenham in a Premier League match. League played at the Etihad Stadium on December 3.
Several City players, mainly Erling Haaland, surrounded referee Simon Hooper after he stopped play when Jack Grealish was running alone towards goal for a previous foul by Emerson Royal on Haaland himself when he had initially let the play continue.
The statement of the sanction to Manchester City
“Manchester City FC admitted that it failed to get its players to behave inappropriately in the 94th minute. An independent regulatory commission imposed this sanction following a hearing,” the FA said in a statement on Monday. Haaland was the player most angry with Hooper, he left the field cursing him and continued his complaints after the game by expressing his frustration on the X network (formerly Twitter) by writing ‘Wtf’ next to the video of the play. The FA investigated the player but ultimately did not bring charges against him.
