The Champions League group stage has ended, 16 names have been identified, divided into 2 groups: seeded and unseeded.
Specifically, the teams ranked first in the first groups entering the seeding group are: Bayern Munich (A; Germany), Arsenal (B; England), Real Madrid (C; Spain), Real Sociedad (D; Spain) , Atletico Madrid (E; Spain), Borussia Dortmund (F; Germany), Man City (G; England), Barca (H; Spain).
The unseeded group is the teams ranked second in group: Copenhagen (A; Denmark), PSV (B; Netherlands), Napoli (C; Italy), Inter Milan (D; Italy), Lazio (E; Italy), PSG (F; France), Leipzig (G; Germany), Porto (H; Portugal).
According to the lottery rules, seeded teams are drawn to meet unseeded teams. Two teams from the same group or League cannot meet. In addition, there is no meeting between the two teams that were together in the group stage.
The Premier League is proud to be the most exciting and attractive tournament on the planet, but there are only two representatives left, Man City and Arsenal, while MU and Newcastle both fell. La Liga (Spain) still has the most representatives – 4, only Sevilla failed to pass the group stage.
Serie A (Italy) also has 3 representatives left, with AC Milan missing out on tickets due to losing to PSG in the secondary index, etc.
In the group stage, only Man City and Real Madrid won all 6 matches. However, while the Vultures are doing very well in La Liga, Pep Guardiola’s team stagnates in the Premier League, winning only 1 of the last 6 matches (4 draws, 1 loss).
However, the round of 16 of the Champions League is expected by many to see Erling Haaland play Kylian Mbappe in the clash between Man City and PSG. Messi’s time with Ronaldo on Europe’s most prestigious playground has ended and now it’s time for Haaland and Mbappe to “follow”, bringing a new era to fans.
This is probably the most awaited match, among the exciting confrontations that can happen in the Champions League round of 16 draw tomorrow.
