Exciting times ahead! The Pro League’s open dialogue with Mbappe could lead to a gamechanging move. Stay tuned for updates!

Saudi Pro League teams could pursue Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe once again, after failing in a bid to sign the forward in summer.

Michael Emenalo, the Saudi Pro League director of football, has stated the possibility of exploring a deal for the PSG star remains ‘open’, despite the forward rejecting a move to the Middle East during the summer transfer window.

Emenalo hinted that the Saudi Pro League could look to revisit a deal for the French international in the future, telling Marca: “With Mbappe, the conversation is open. But we don’t know what he wants to do. Our position is clear: all of these kinds of players know where we are. If there is a possibility or an interest from Mbappe to be a part of what we’re building, today or in the future, we can’t reject the possibility. It is a player that I like.”

It was reported in July that PSG received a world-record bid in the region of €300 million (£259m/$332m) from Al-Hilal during the summer, which the Ligue 1 champions were willing to accept. However, Mbappe remains adamant that he will remain in Paris, with his current deal at the club set to expire next summer.

Despite the distractions off the field regarding his future at the Parc des Princes, Mbappe is currently in red hot form for PSG with 15 goals and two assists across his 14 appearances in the top flight of French football. The 24-year-old will now be preparing for Sunday’s clash against Lille, as PSG look to extend their four point gap between themselves and Nice in second.
