Billionaire Jim Ratcliffe intends to replace Erik Ten Hag with former Chelsea coach Graham Potter when he takes control of the football department at Man Utd after the transition is completed, the announcement read.
The chairman of INOES Chemical Group deserved to have meetings with the former Chelsea coach and he later spoke highly of Potter.
Mail Sport reported that Sir Ratcliffe may not be considering firing Erik Ten Hag right now, but he will reassess the situation if Man Utd continues to deepen the crisis.
The Red Devils are currently absent from the Champions League after the last match against Bayern Munich recently. And they were also eliminated from the Carabao Cup arena after being eliminated by Newcastle.
Man Utd is currently ranked 6th in the Premier League, but with “fluctuating” performance like the past period, the Red Devils’ position will become precarious. The vital match against Liverpool next Sunday will decide whether Erik Ten Hag will leave soon or continue to “lose life” for a while longer.
Talking more about Graham Potter, after being fired by Chelsea in April this year, Potter refused a number of invitations from abroad to return to coaching.
In May, he was invited to lead the Nice team in Ligue – the team owned by Jim Ratcliffe after firing coach Didier Dagard, but he refused.
Potter is also said to have turned down an invitation to coach the Swedish National team.
It is known that the process of changing owners with ownership of 25% of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s shares is being completed.
