Coach Erik ten Hag affirmed that Sancho can return to play for Man Utd and this completely depends on the English midfielder.
“Sancho knows what he needs to do to return to Man Utd’s squad. What happens depends on him,” Erik ten Hag said at a press conference before round 16 of the Premier League.
Sancho was removed from Man Utd’s squad from the match against Arsenal in September. The initial reason was only because this player was not in high form. However, the English midfielder opposed coach Erik ten Hag with many actions attacking him on social networks and the media. In return, coach Erik ten Hag banned Sancho from practicing and participating in any activities with the first team.
Sancho trains by himself at Carrington center. He also refused to publicly apologize to coach Erik ten Hag so he could return to play. Man Utd still has to pay 275,000 pounds/week to its players.
Coach Erik ten Hag believes that each team has its own culture and rules. The players need to really adapt to that culture. In particular, Man Utd players need to follow certain standards. This strategist affirmed that he did not regret using iron discipline with the entire team. Recently, Nemanja Matic spoke up in support of coach Erik ten Hag when he said that Sancho and Pogba are really undisciplined players who are often late for practice.
Sancho’s future is still a big question mark. According to the British press, Juventus and teams in the Saudi Arabian National Championship are especially interested in Jadon Sancho. Borussia Dortmund is ready to welcome Sancho back and push Donyell Malen to Man Utd as part of the transfer agreement.
Recently, Erik ten Hag continues to face internal problems. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are said to be unhappy with the Dutch coach’s coaching style. In return, he let both students sit on the bench in the victory over Chelsea.
A part of the fans is supporting Erik ten Hag. Over the years, coaches working at Man Utd have always encountered problems in the changing room.
