Erling Haaland’s representative, Rafaela Pimenta, recently shared the terms of the Norwegian striker’s contract termination with Manchester City.
Haaland joined Man City on a five-year contract in the summer of 2022 after they activated his release clause at Dortmund. The striker’s current contract at Man City is said to have a release clause worth about 200 million Euros, which will take effect next summer. The Citizens hope Haaland will sign a new agreement to remove this release clause.
But Ms. Pimenta refused to talk about this move, sparking rumors about the possibility of Haaland going to Real Madrid.
“As for the release clause, that is a way for the clubs to decide. However, I believe that if we want to have a smooth future, we must face each other,” Pimenta told Calciomercato.
Pimenta added that the release clause will help keep power in the hands of the client (in this case, Haaland), and emphasized that it is necessary to be calm when talking about an extension.
Pimenta shared: “In any case, with Erling I am not only referring to his salary but also to everything that surrounds him: the club, the sponsors, the jerseys. His journey Haaland will definitely achieve this value (player worth 1 billion Euro)”.
Haaland has scored 14 goals in 14 Premier League appearances this season. No player has scored more goals than Haaland since he joined Man City last summer. The Norwegian striker is also happy at The Citizens, but the possibility of him leaving in the next 2-3 years cannot be ruled out. Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, also said his son would only stay at Etihad for 4 years at most.
