Wayne Riley and his family are returning to England, where he will live in the £20 million “Morrisons mansion,” complete with a movie theater, two fishing lakes, a full-sized football field, and a swimming pool.
John Eustace was fired at St Andrews, and the iconic manager of Manchester United and England was officially announced as Birmingham City’s new manager.
Wayne, Coleen, and the rest of the Rooney family moved into their dream home in 2021.
Their £20 million Cheshire residence was dubbed the “Morrisons mansion” during construction.
Situated on an impressive 40 acres, the estate boasts two fishing lakes, a movie theater, and a swimming pool.
It’s estimated that Rooney spent almost £4 million to a Cheshire real estate developer to have the gated home built (!).
Coleen, his wife, and their four sons—Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass—remained in England, while he and his coaching staff relocated to Washington.
But after joining the Blues, sponsored by Tom Brady, he will have all the support he needs from his family when he returns home to live with them full-time at their lavish Cheshire estate.
The substantial property portfolios of the 37-year-olds Rooney and Coleen comprise homes in Florida, the USA, the Caribbean, and the UK.
The main jewel, however, is their lavish £20 million, six-bedroom mansion on a 40-acre property.
In December 2021, the family moved into a completely renovated house.
It’s in what is supposedly Cheshire and is known as High Lake Manor.
Rooney and his friend could even refer to themselves as the lord and lady of the manor in a notional sense.
We informed you that the all-time United top scorer had a full-size football field built there, replete with a seating area, back when the property was still under development.
He also installed showers for his friends’ changing rooms in the five-a-side field, but he was unable to install floodlights because of his mansion’s isolated location.
He also has a swimming pool, a movie theater, two man-made lakes for fishing, and a garage for his collection of cars.
Rooney is thought to be a passionate fisherman.
The house’s size and design had previously been ridiculed by the neighbors, who claimed it resembled a Morrisons supermarket.
But unlike a Morrisons, it’s equipped with a wine cellar, TV lounge, snooker area, bar, and orangery these days.
The lavish Rooney pad also has “his” and “hers” changing areas, a hot tub, a steam room, and a sizable indoor pool surrounded by a glass pavilion.
In addition, it boasts a sizable terrace, exquisitely landscaped gardens, and a lavish luxury car garage.
It is believed that Rooney gave around £4 million to a Cheshire real estate developer to build the property, which has separate elevators and a guest bathroom.
A second elevator connects the main area to the basement floor, which houses a big gym, pool, Jacuzzi, and movie theater.
They chose to build their dream home when burglars tried to break into Rooney’s Cheshire home in 2016 before law enforcement stepped in.
The former striker was reared in a social house in Liverpool, but he has proven his real estate acumen by charging £25,000 a week to rent out his large Barbados home.
He spent £450,000 on a detached house for his parents in Liverpool and £320,000 on a beachfront property in Florida’s Sunshine State in 2007.
He and Coleen, who are reported to be worth over £115 million, started dating when they were 16 years old and now own homes all over the world.
Rooney starred for England at the 2004 Euros and advanced through the ranks at his boyhood club, Everton, before making the big-money move to Manchester United.
Under Sir Alex Ferguson, he went on to win five Premier League and Champions League titles.
Rooney broke Sir Bobby Charlton’s record for both United and England, which is presently held by Harry Kane, to become the record goalscorer for both club and country.
He made an emotional return to Everton in 2017 and went on to top the team’s scoring chart before playing Major League Soccer (MLS) with DC United.
In 48 appearances for the American squad at the time, the veteran scored 23 goals. However, in an unexpected change of events, he returned to England to play for Championship club Derby County in the 2020–21 season.
Rooney has been living apart from his family in America while he has been leading DC United.
The estate has a swimming pool, a movie theater, and a garage for his collection of cars.
When this structural fissure appeared, the £20 million estate was referred to as a “Morrisons mansion.”
On the lower floor, there’s a large exercise center, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and movie theater.
