Al Hilal fans are still waiting for a moment to flaunt their most iconic player ever. Fortune does not seem to go their way in terms of ROI, as their most expensive signing has yet to make a mark for them. Afflicted by injuries, Neymar has been forced to stay off the sport, amplifying the curiosity of fans waiting for his magical footwork. However, the most recent medical update about Neymar’s ACL injury will provide a good idea about his progress and plans ahead.
The most successful club in Asia had a lot of moments to cherish in sports. But signing Neymar is their real opportunity to launch into a global fan stride. But the post kept shifting each time, as the Brazilian will now need efforts to come back quickly for his team.
Neymar’s progress was updated by the team doctor
Neymar underwent surgery on November 2, and his results were satisfying for the doctor. However, understanding the severity of the trauma, the doctors have revealed that it will be a slow process for his recovery, which will take seven to nine months. Another factor in his improvement will be his own effort, which will improve his recovery time. According to the team doctor, he is in the initial stages of recovery.
The doctor said, “He’s doing a lot of work, but the key thing at the moment is increasing mobility in his knee and gaining strength in his leg. And of course, he is doing strength and conditioning work.”
Neymar is expected to work on his knee mobility and strength for the next two months. The injury he sustained affects the knee joint and primarily impairs knee movement and its weight-bearing ability, as per medical experts. Al Hilal’s doctor also said that he is in constant touch with the team doctor and is happy with the progress.
Neymar is also reported to be undergoing structured rehabilitation by increasing muscle strength and regaining muscle size. He is currently undergoing treatment with the use of electricity to trigger muscle building in the affected leg. The subsequent plan will start once this progress is successful. However, Al Hilal is still managing to hold on to their game despite his absence.
Al Hilal stays on top despite Neymar’s injury
Al Hilal’s Neymar signing came with a lot of hope and trust. But hardly could they predict that his consecutive blows could keep them on their toes with his medical updates. But the Riyad-based team is still at the top of the table in the Saudi Pro League, above Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr. They still remain undefeated this season in both the Saudi League and the AFC Champions League.
However, despite some brilliant performances from players like Aleksandar Mitrovic, coach Jorge Jesus feels that they lost a great attacking component with Neymar’s absence. With other players like Malcolm and Salem Al Dwasari in good form, Al Hilal will look to finish with the same momentum for the rest of the season.
