Japan-101 conducted a study to see which players who are shining in the Champions League have earned the most money from the social network Instagram. Using an Instagram influencer earnings calculator, they analyzed the number of followers and engagement rates of the most followed players in this year’s Champions League to determine how much they can be earned for each sponsored post on social networks.
Accordingly, striker Kylian Mbappe (PSG) is the most followed player in the Champions League with 109 million. An average of about 2 million likes on the 2018 World Cup champion’s posts. With an interaction rate of 4.47%, the French player’s income from each post is £76,465.
Interestingly, former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos (currently playing for Sevilla) is in second place, earning £48,208. Third place belongs to Paul Pogba (Juventus) with 61.4 million followers and earning 51,040 pounds per post. Next in line are Toni Kroos (Real Madrid – 43.2 million followers – earning more than £27,480 per post) and Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid – 41.3 million followers – earning more than £31,730 ).
Champins League 2022/23 top scorer, Erling Haaland (Man City) with more than 36 million followers on Instagram has an income of 11,333 pounds per post.
