Real Madrid’s denial that it is negotiating with Kylian Mbappe is just ‘on the surface’, in fact the club’s head, President Florentino Perez is ‘obsessed’ with the French striker.
Over the weekend, the La Liga giant tried to quash rumors that the club was in negotiations to prepare to welcome Kylian Mbappe next year.
Diario AS also said that Real Madrid will pay the French captain a salary of 35 million euros/year, after taxes.
According to El Chiringuito, the reason Real Madrid had to make the above move was to ‘deal’ with PSG, avoid making things difficult until they can officially negotiate to sign Mbappe early next year.
French newspaper E’quipe added that an internal source from Real Madrid revealed that President Florentino Perez is still completely ‘fascinated’ by Mbappe and wants to get him at the Bernabeu.
This source affirmed that the construction ‘tycoon’ only cares about Mbappe and does not care about signing Haaland: “If Perez puts all his effort into one name, it will only be Kylian Mbappe. Not Haaland. He is obsessed with Mbappe.”
Mbappe’s future is currently of concern after the summer controversy between him and PSG. If the current contract is kept, the 24-year-old striker can freely leave Paris at the end of the season.
There is information that Mbappe has promised Real Madrid that he will not renew with PSG and will join the Bernabeu this summer. However, he will not let PSG fall into the situation of ‘losing everything’, ensuring that the Ligue 1 champion collects a fee.
