Los Blancos have relied on the brilliance of Jude Bellingham to propel them to the top of La Liga this season, with the England international scoring twice in Real’s 2-1 win over Barcelona last weekend.
But while Bellingham is currently scoring every game, president Florentino Perez wants to further strengthen his attacking options and is ready to recruit two top superstars to compensate for the departure of Karim Benzema in the summer recently.
Recently, El Chiringuito newspaper revealed that the White Vultures plan to increase their firepower and are ready to sign contracts with both Mbappe and Haaland. Accordingly, Real Madrid will not necessarily have to sign a contract with this pair in the next summer transfer window, although they are targeting Mbappe at that time because the French striker will become a free agent upon signing. Contract with PSG expires.
Meanwhile, Haaland could land at the Santiago Bernabeu in a year or two as Los Blancos plan to activate the release clause in the striker’s contract.
The above move would be a perfect scenario for Real Madrid. In fact, signing one of these players would probably put such a strain on their budget that recruiting the other player would be impossible. Of course, renovating the Bernabeu could help provide the funds for both to join the team, but that could mean sacrificing other positions in the team.
On the other hand, there must be a question mark as to whether Mbappe wants to play with Haaland or not and vice versa. At the present time, Mbappe is more likely to join Real Madrid, while Haaland is still very happy at Man City.
