Neymar Jr and Brazil tied with Venezuela
Brazil National team
Brazil tied with Venezuela in a match they certainly had no problem winning, but things didn’t end up going the way they expected. The Brazilian team was leading from the first half, but a goal by Eduardo Bello in the 85th minute saw Brazil having to share points with Vinotinto. At the end of the match, a fan threw an object at Neymar, something that unleashed madness in the Al Hilal player.
At 50′, Gabriel appeared to open the scoring with a header after a corner, but it was not enough to celebrate at home since 35 minutes later, Eduard Bello excelled with a great goal, leaving Ederson standing without any reaction. This tie left the Brazilian team in second place with 7 points, while the Venezuelan team is in sixth position with 4 points.
Venezuela gave the surprise on date 3 of the 2026 South American Qualifiers after tying Brazil almost at the end of the match at the Arena Pantanal stadium. The victory slipped out of Scratch’s hands and he lost the lead in the standings. The ‘vinotinto’ did its thing and did not stop looking for a tie until it came through an incredible ‘chalaca’.
The Brazilians threw objects at Neymar
The local fans showed their displeasure with “Ney” after throwing popcorn at him, when he was heading to the post-match locker room, something that ended up angering the winger, who had already been upset since the same crash. This became the first draw for the Brazilians in these qualifiers (they came from two victories) and also for Venezuela, who had just lost against Colombia and won against Paraguay. Neymar was not enough to add the three points at home against Venezuela, and he knew how to withstand the downpour until Bello invented an epic shot in the 85th minute.
