Manchester City’s top goalscorer is ready to keep making history in English football.
Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez
Different season, same Erling Haaland. The 23 year-old Norwegian is already the top goalscorer of the Premier League season after 4 matches. He has scored 6 goals so far and yesterday, against Fulham, he delivered his first hat-trick of the season.
Haaland keeps making history. Last season he broke the record for most goals in a single Premier League season after scoring an impressive total of 36 goals. With yesterday’s hat-trick he already has a total of 42 goals in 39 Premier League games, averaging more than one goal per match.
It was his 5th hat-trick in English football and that way he became the player that needed less games to score his first 5 Premier League hat-tricks. But the Norwegian doesn’t plan to stop scoring goals and this is the record he’ll be looking to break next.
Who has the record for most Premier League hat-tricks?
Erling Haaland moved up in the list of players with most Premier League hat-tricks. After scoring his fifth, he equalled Dimitar Berbatov, Andy Cole, Ian Wright, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Robin van Persie and Raheem Sterling. The record remains in hands of former Manchester City legend Sergio Agüero, who scored 12 Premier League hat-tricks in his career.
